Course Description

This course provides teachers with a comprehensive guide to the knowledge and techniques required to teach the NSW Mathematics Standard 2017 syllabus. It covers every dot point of MS-N1 Networks and Paths (Standard 1) and MS-N2 Network Concepts and MS-N3 Critical Path Analysis (Standard 2).

The course goes into greater detail than the textbooks, so that teachers become more comfortable in their ability to deliver the content. All 95 examples have been recorded, so that you can watch an experienced maths teacher talk through the examples and any important points to note.

New and existing content is explored in detail, including interesting and more efficient techniques that experienced teachers may not have seen before. Important points to be covered with students are noted, and the limits of the syllabus are discussed.

The course includes:

•95 recorded examples

•A total of 45 quiz questions at the end of each lesson

•A 273 page course handout in two formats – one with blank space for you to complete the examples and a second with completed solutions to the examples.

•A 132 page exercise booklet with 95 optional practice questions matching the examples from the course, with fully worked solutions. The Year 12 Mathematics Standard 2017 syllabus is covered in five courses.

The courses are:

•STD#E Year 12 Algebra covers MS-A3 Types of Relationships (Standard 1) and MS-A4 Types of Relationships (Standard 2)

•STD#F Year 12 Measurement covers MS-M3 Right-angled Triangles, MS-M4 Rates and MS-M5 Scale Drawings (Standard 1) and MS-M6 Non-right-angled Trigonometry and MS-M7 Rates and Ratios(Standard 2)

•STD#G Year 12 Financial Mathematics covers MS-F2 Investment and MS-F3 Depreciation and Loans (Standard 1) and MS-F4 Investments and Loans and MS-F5 Annuities (Standard 2)

•STD#H Year 12 Statistics and Probability covers MS-S3 Further Statistical Analysis (Standard 1) and MS-S4 Bivariate Data Analysis and MS-S5 The Normal Distribution (Standard 2)
